S2E34 - Home Sweet Casa: A Book by Mariela Andersen
Today we are joined by Mariela Andersen, a Colombian adoptee who has written "Home Sweet Casa," a memoir about her reunion with bio family.
Today we are joined by Mariela Andersen, a fellow Colombian adoptee. She has been in reunion with her bio family since the age of 22. During this process, she kept a journal, which later she published into a book titled "Home Sweet Casa."
Since then, she has gone to visit family in Colombia many times, and over the course of 9 years, her relationships have evolved. We discuss boundaries with bio family, how reunion can help you discover yourself, and the overall journey of how being an adoptee effects your whole life.
